PoE injectors combine power and data over a single Ethernet cable and provide non-PoE power source equipment (PSE) the ability to supply power to powered devices (PD).  PoE splitters give non-PoE powered devices (PD) the ability to pair PoE Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) by splitting power from PoE to Ethernet devices.
